Mimi Stockland is a visual artist currently based in in Sherbrooke, Québec who works primarily in textiles, printmaking and drawing.
Mimi graduated with a BFA in Painting and Drawing with distinction from Concordia University in 2009, and went on to obtain a diploma in Textile Construction from CTCM in 2015.
Her work has been shown in major institutions in Québec and across the Atlantic provinces including: Confederation Centre Art Gallery (Charlottetown, PEI), St. Michael’s Printshop (St. John’s NL), The Rooms Museum (St. John’s NL), The Craft Council Gallery of NL and Galerie d’art-Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen (Moncton NB).
Mimi’s current focus is advancing her knitting machine skills while working in a textile research lab in the town formerly known as Asbestos, Quebec.
